Privacy Policy

Last Ration is built to keep your quit work on your phone. This policy explains what we collect, what we do not, and how purchases work.
What stays on your device
Your runs, logs (including optional urge tags and notes), challenges, achievements, theme choice, and notification preferences are stored locally on this device. We do not require a Last Ration account, and we do not sync habit history to our servers. You can export that local data as a JSON file you keep yourself, and import it later on this device.
What we do not collect
We do not sell your data. We do not run advertising SDKs. We do not use advertising IDs or cross-app tracking. Your "why" notes, optional mood/trigger tags, situation notes, custom habit names, craving-window schedules, exact ration counters as identifiers, and use logs are not uploaded for marketing or profiling.
Crash diagnostics
When a crash reporting service is configured for a store build, the app may send technical crash diagnostics (stack traces, device/OS version, app version) so we can fix bugs. Crash reports are scrubbed to remove free-text fields, habit labels, notes, and email. We do not enable session replay. Crash diagnostics do not include your habit history.
Local diagnostic log
The app keeps a small rotating technical log on this device (boot, purchases, network errors, crash events). It is scrubbed of habit labels, notes, tokens, and email. Nothing in that log is uploaded automatically. From Settings → Data you can copy, share, or clear it when reporting a bug.
Optional enhanced analytics
If you opt in (first-launch checkbox, or later in Settings), the app may send coarse product-health events to our server: things like first log, victory, shop view, or backup result. Events may include platform, app version, and an optional habit category enum (for example nicotine, alcohol, or other). They never include the habit label, custom names, notes, or any stable id that ties events to you. You can turn enhanced analytics off anytime in Settings. With analytics off, we send no product events.
Store analytics
Google Play and the App Store may collect their own install, crash, and usage metrics for the listing under their policies. That is separate from in-app enhanced analytics and is controlled in each store console.
Purchases and store receipts
If you buy Last Ration Premium, Google Play or the App Store processes payment under their terms. To unlock Premium, the app may send a purchase token or receipt to our verification service so we can confirm the purchase with the store. That payload is for entitlement checks only, it is not your run history.
Notifications
Craving-window reminders are optional and local. If you turn them on, the device schedules one soft reminder at the start of each window you configure (never more than once per window). We do not use those reminders to push you to use your habit. Notification permission results may be recorded as a coarse event only if you opted into enhanced analytics.
Crisis and support links
Settings and onboarding may open external help resources (for example national quitlines). Those sites have their own privacy practices. Last Ration is a motivation tool, not medical care.
Children
Last Ration is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Deleting your data
Use Data in Settings to export or import a JSON backup you store yourself, or Reset Local Data to erase runs, archives, and achievement progress on this device. Uninstalling the app also removes local data. Store subscriptions are managed separately in your Google Play or App Store account. Turning off enhanced analytics stops further product events immediately.
Changes
If this policy changes in a material way, we will update the effective date in the app and may ask you to acknowledge again. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
